The Winter Wonderland From Nelson Tiny Houses
I've seen a lot of tiny houses in my time, and this one is far and away one of my favorites.
Named The Winter Wonderland, it's designed and built by Nelson Tiny Houses of Nelson, British Columbia. The home is built onto a 38' x 9' gooseneck trailer and has an interior size of 380 sq ft.
It's a custom build for a client who lives pretty remotely, so the home is almost completely off-grid. There are solar panels, a backup generator, propane-powered appliances, and a wood stove. There was a septic system installed in the property though, so the toilet is a stand flush.
The exterior of The Winter Wonderland is arctic blue painted board and batten. There was also a pretty sizable front porch added which will eventually be covered.
The living room was designed to serve a multitude of purposes in a very small space. There's a custom sofa that can moved around to create dining space for anywhere from one to six people. It can also be put together to form an extra sleeping space for guests. Right over the living room is a small loft space that serves as a guest room, accessible by a sliding ladder.
The kitchen comes outfitted with a full-size fridge, oven, and toaster oven. There's also a washer/dryer unit under the counter and upper cabinet storage.
The master bedroom is located in the "neck" of the trailer, via a small staircase. Right across from the bed is a small closet for storage, and the home's bathroom which features a tub!
All in all, a beautiful house. Be sure to check out the in-depth video tour from Nelson Tiny Houses below!
