Repurposed Shipping Container Home (355 Sq Ft)
A great example of recycling is this gorgeous home outside of Ottawa, Canada, made of shipping containers.
The home’s owner, Joseph Dupuis, bought three shipping containers at $3,400 each (for a grand total of $10,200). He then refurbished the interior into a 355-square-foot cabin with insulation and a built-in cooling system. The home also comes equipped with a wood stove, solar panels, a full kitchen and a shower. The only thing the home is currently missing is a toilet, which would require approval from local government to install a septic tank.
