The Wedge Tiny House From Laney College

For the first time this year, Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) hosted a tiny house competition for colleges in northern California to build their best and most innovative homes.

This year's entry from Oakland's Laney College featured a neat industrial look with an angular roof. Named "The Wedge", the home is off-grid compatible and was designed with affordable housing in mind.

The Wedge's layout features a kitchen, living room, dining and work space, a bathroom, and a loft bedroom.
