The THIMY Tiny House (170 Sq Ft)

This year marked the first Tiny House Competition, hosted by the Sacramento Municipal Utility District.

This year's entry from UC Berkeley was a 170 sq ft home named THIMBY (Tiny House In My Backyard). Since the project's inception, back in November of 2015, the students who designed the work worked hard to create a shelter that was affordable, off-grid, and 100% solar powered.

THIMBY places second overall and took home four awards in the sub-categories including craftsmanship and sustainability.
